About Me...
Isaiah Joshua Foster was unexpectedly born to a pair of ministers in San Diego, California. With a single mother devoted to the church, he quickly earned the nickname "Little Man" after being seen jumping, stomping, and singing alongside the choir. Recognizing his gift, his mother gave him the greatest opportunity—placing him in The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts school—where he discovered his fiery passion for the arts.
On this journey of discovery, life took an unexpected turn when both his parents were called home, unveiling harsh realities but also forging a path of untouchable resilience. Isaiah went on to graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, Class of 2022, with a BFA in Musical Theater/Acting—a ticket that has allowed him to write the rest of his story on his own terms.
He has worked with several theaters, including The San Diego Repertory Theatre, San Diego Musical Theatre/Conservatory, and UCSD Muir Musical. Some of his favorite roles include Dolokhov (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Pete (New Works: The Beach), La Cienega (Bring It On), and Don Kerr (u/s Richie) in (A Chorus Line) with Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.
After moving to New York in the fall of 2022, Isaiah has been living his dream and shaping the artist he wants to be. He co-founded an annual holiday cabaret with Dartboard Productions and continues as a director, now developing a Black cabaret to bring to the city for Black History Month. As a director and choreographer, he recently created Freedom from Chaos, a theatrical movement piece he plans to expand upon.
Beyond the stage, Isaiah finds joy in cooking, working out, dancing, hosting dinner parties, and curating events that bring people together—to celebrate, to live, and to share in the magic of community, from holidays and birthdays to cabarets.
Isaiah’s journey continues to reaffirm how the arts have transformed his well-being and purpose. With each new creation, he remains devoted to making space for Black stories to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
